Dinner at Beau Séjour We are now offering a dinner option more often than we have done in the past.  To prepare our three course, fairly elaborate, dinner on successive nights is not possible.  However, we recognise that more and more of our guests wish to be able to dine without having to drive or to always eat in a restaurant.  We are therefore suggesting a simpler and lighter supper on some nights.  For details of our three course dinner, see below Our lighter supper, see below, will be offered on some nights.  Please contact us in advance to find out availability. Whichever dinner we are cooking we always buy the best raw ingredients possible, in most instances from small, organic, family run farms.   All of our food, including pastry, is homemade and cooked here.  We buy our bread from a small artisanal bakery.  The cooking at Beau Séjour marries the tradition of french provincial cookery with modern influences.  There are specialities of the house and of the region but always the emphasis is placed on quality of the produce and the pleasure of participating at the table.  We are fortunate to be surrounded by vineyards which produce very good wine.  It is a pleasure for us to choose wine which complements the food we serve. For dinner bookings and for other information please see below.  For the opinions of our guests who have eaten with us please see below.

We try to make the dinners interesting to cook and to eat and to avoid dishes that are not popular.  Please notify us in advance of any special dietary requirements. What Guests Say About Our Dinners Tiger824  via Tripadvisor - an extract M&J provide the option of having dinner at the B&B if you ask in advance -- multiple  courses and wine for 40 euros/person -- do it. They can accommodate dietary restrictions, but everyone eats what's prepared that night from fresh, local, mostly organic ingredients. We had fish terrine, duck, potatoes -- out of this world. And the wine from their friend's vineyard down the road couldn't be beat by any of the grand chateaux in Medoc. While the food and wine are marvelous, the best part is enjoying M&J's company and getting their thoughts on what to see and do in the region. Malcolm W via Tripadvisor - an extract That evening, Maureen cooked dinner for the guests, we took the easy option, joining the guests rather than to cook ourselves. A finer meal would be hard to find in any restaurant. In addition to this, we had the delight of meeting other guests from a truly global selection and it became a multi lingual event, with Jon and Maureen sharing their knowledge about the wine and food we consumed. A superb start to our holiday in this region.   GGBxxxx via Tripadvisor  - an extract Maureen prepared a delicious dinner one of the evenings we were there. The cheese soufflé was amazing and light, the main course was an excellent Guinea Fowl and dessert was a decadent chocolate tart/cake with pears poached in red wine. Jon “your Sommelier” for the evening chose local wines for each course that matched the food very nicely. UlliMo via Tripadvisor  - an extract We even had a perfect dinner with the other guests - a wonderful evening we all will remember! Maureen is an excellent cook - the mixture is french-english at its best. The strong passion of Maureen and Jon for the (best wine) region was very helpful Candi354 via Tripadvisor  - an extract The food.....yummy breakfasts and snacks.  The dinners....don't miss them if they are available, and Maureen's pate is to die for. And, the lively conversations with the other travelers over a wonderful meal.  The Beau Sejour is a gem. Don't miss it!
